Job Details
Carry out daily electrical and control tasks, including troubleshooting on packaging and production equipment such as extruders, dryers, dry bulk storage and conveying systems, dilute phase pneumatic systems, high-speed packaging machines (cartoners, baggers, case-packers, palletizers), thermal fluid heaters, material handling, water chillers, compressed air, and HVAC systems.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to address recurring issues and complete both preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
Work alongside operations staff to understand system operations and offer training on electrical and control components.
Ensure all electrical systems comply with the National Electrical Code.
Independently modify, add, and adjust electrical systems as needed.
Keep updated backup files for control systems on all equipment.
Support capital projects from development through implementation stages.
Maintain accurate plant schematics and equipment documentation.
Perform troubleshooting using machine control schematics.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
Availability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and overtime as needed.
Completion of a two-year Electrical Technician program or any of the following:
Apprenticeship in electro-mechanics, electrical, controls, or a related field.
Relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) training.
3+ years of practical experience in a controls, automation, or electrical role.
Willingness to become CPR certified.
