Maintenance Technician I– Fort Collins, CO
This is a full-time, hourly level position.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20hr. and $26hr., however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, monitor, document and manage maintenance and inventory for production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of business goals and objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
+ Manage and document maintenance activities using company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
+ Complete department’s inventory by overseeing the storage, receiving, and distribution of parts and supplies for all maintenance activities
+ Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment
+ Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production/packaging equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
+ Perform machinist duties and responsibilities
+ Perform mechanic skills, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
+ Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
+ Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, packaging equipment and plant facilities
+ Perform a variety of plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and industrial cleaning functions
+ Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
+ Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
+ Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
+ Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED
+ Packaging equipment maintenance experience preferred
+ 1+ years’ manufacturing experience preferred
+ Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience preferred
+ Inventory management experience preferred
Working Conditions:
+ Employees in this position working at this location are [or may be] exposed to various potential chemical and food allergens due to the nature of our business and the requirements of the job. + While performing the duties of this job, Maintenance Technicians are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving parts and vibration.
Physical Requirements:
+ During the work shift, the Technician is regularly required to talk and hear
+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and climb consistently throughout the shift
+ Ability to lift and/or move items over 75 (seventy-five) pounds on a frequent basis
+ Work on platforms, both guarded and unguarded, that can reach heights greater than 60’
+ Specific vision abilities, include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
