We are actively seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machining with a strong focus on precision, quality, and efficiency. In this role, the Machinist will be responsible for machining parts to specific dimensions, maintaining close tolerances, and ensuring parts meet all blueprint specifications. The position requires the ability to operate a variety of machinery and utilize precision measuring instruments to verify part quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Machine parts according to dimensions and maintain close tolerances, focusing on precision, concentricity, finish, and parallelism.
• Select appropriate speeds and feeds based on material type and finish requirements.
• Set up and fixture work using shims, wedges, parallels, blocks, supports, chucks, and other devices to ensure proper alignment and prevent tool or part damage.
• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to inspect in-process or finished parts, ensuring they meet the required form and feature characteristics as well as manufacturing methods and blueprint specifications.
• Lift various items up to approximately 40 pounds, and work overtime or any shift as required to meet production deadlines.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a machine shop environment, including operation of mills, lathes, and similar equipment.
• Basic knowledge of operating precision tools, machining methods, and cutting qualities of metals.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime and adapt to shift changes as necessary.
