About the Job
One of the nation's largest diagnostic imaging centers, with more than 300 locations throughout nation, has an immediate need for a MRI Technologist who is responsible to Produce high quality MRI diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. These centers are multi-modality outpatient imaging providing a wide variety of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment.

Schedule: Full-Time
Location: New York, NY
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Familiarity with and ability to use equipment in assigned modality including RIS, imaging equipment and PACS.
Ability to utilize the principles, theories, practices, techniques and methods of the imaging procedures the team member conducts in order to produce images of high diagnostic quality.
Knowledgeable of appropriate studies to perform for the patient's diagnosis.
Demonstrates the ability to use proper screening methods of patients to avoid potential injury.
Ability to assist patients onto table.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to walk/stand for 90% of patient interaction.
Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm and appropriate fashion.
Possesses working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MR pathology.
Understands anatomy so as acquire the slices/slabs in the most effective manner.
Knowledgeable on correct and appropriate studies to perform for the patient's diagnosis.
Knowledge of biohazards and of cryogens.
Knowledge of MRI contraindications.
Demonstrates the ability to use proper screening methods of patients to avoid potential injury
Education & Experience Requirements:
The above knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated by successful completion of an accredited radiology program
Must be Registered with the ARRT
At least 1 year of experience preferred.
