Overview:
East Penn is currently seeking a Medical Assistant who will assist in the medical process with duties including maintaining physician appointment schedule, maintaining OHM encounter log, and initiating the pre‑employment screening process.
Hours for this position are a split 1st/2nd 11a-7p. Training will be on 1st shift 7a-3p.
Responsibilities:- Performs medical procedures as needed, including: spirometry, neurometry, blood pressure, pulse, hearing tests, urine drug screen, phlebotomy, breath alcohol testing, height, weight, uniform measurements, and basic eye exams
- Molds custom earplugs upon employee request
- Maintains and orders supplies and stock rooms using Somax
- Sterilizes medical equipment
- Maintains medical filing system including establishing new hire files
- Greets employees at front desk, determines employees' needs, and does triage accordingly
- *Maintains regular attendance
- *Ability to work mandatory over time
- Performs other duties as requested
- Responsible for producing a high quality product
- Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices

Qualifications:EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent; READING REQUIREMENTS, Basic Reading; MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, Basic Math (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying); COMPUTER SKILLS, H&S, Abra, EudOra, OHM, Quest, Rolodex, Management System Reporting (MSR), Word, Excel; COMMUNICATION SKILLS, Good Communication Skills, Good Telephone Skills, Ability to communicate with Co‑workers; OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS, Phlebotomy
