California Aeronautical University is looking for a proactive and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our vibrant marketing team. In this role, you’ll be crucial in executing effective marketing strategies, supporting company goals, and enhancing brand awareness. Your primary focus will be on coordinating various marketing efforts, including event management and content creation, and optimizing marketing campaigns through innovation and creativity.
The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. A successful candidate will be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a sharp focus on details and a driven attitude towards achieving business goals.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
- Prepare captivating promotional presentations for a variety of audiences.
- Write and edit content for different platforms such as emails, website, and social media.
- Develop effective content to use in promotional materials, including engaging short-format videos, editorial and social media imagery, and graphics for marketing collateral.
- Track, analyze and report on the performance of marketing campaigns using key performance indicators (KPIs) with actionable information on how to enhance the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
- Manage marketing efforts for trade shows, conferences, and events, including distribution of promotional and collateral materials
- Managing and coordinating tasks outsourced to external vendors, such as printing companies
- Reconcile marketing invoices and outreach event expenses
- Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM).
- Increase marketing knowledge base by analyzing data; conducting research with students, prospects, and alumni; maintaining competitor files listing program offerings, cost, market share, and advertising samples
- Conducting research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior
- Ensure that all marketing efforts serve immediate and long-term business goals by identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
- Support the marketing director in establishing and evaluating marketing strategy by coordinating with admissions efforts and setting objectives.
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications
- 2+ years of experience in a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media.
- Creative and analytical skills to interpret the success of a marketing campaign and make the necessary changes to improve results.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Self-starter able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with creative tools like Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and other Adobe programs.
- Proficient in photography, video editing and graphic design to create engaging, original content
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
