Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, overhauling and repairing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety policies, housekeeping rules and guidelines, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed
- Interpret blueprints and schematics when working on machines
- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Ability to detect, isolate and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment
- Ability to Troubleshoot PLC's
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Operate machine tools such as welders, lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work on machinery
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Complete all paperwork as required
- Other duties as assigned
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years' mechanical and equipment experience in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery and equipment
- Able to weld and fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance or overhaul
- Thorough knowledge of load bearing capabilities of the equipment to be installed, assembled or dismembered
- Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Overtime may be required
- Travel may be required
