Lumber Trader
We are actively looking to bring on experienced Lumber Traders and Brokers to our team at one of the fastest growing companies in the country. The Lumber Trader will be responsible and involved in closely monitoring market trends and price fluctuations, sourcing lumber products from various suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery to meet client demands. As the Lumber Trader you will also provide valuable market insights to clients, enabling them to make informed purchasing decisions while building and maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and clients, manage logistics, and stay updated on industry regulations and sustainability practices.
Job Type: Commission Based, Fully Remote with no cap on earnings!
Responsibilities for the Lumber Trader:
· Procure lumber products by sourcing from suppliers, considering market dynamics and pricing trends.
· Negotiate and finalize contracts for lumber transactions, ensuring favorable terms for clients and the organization.
· Monitor market conditions, analyzing data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients.
· Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients, acting as a trusted intermediary in the lumber industry.
· Oversee the logistics and coordination of lumber deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient order fulfillment.
· Stay informed about industry regulations and sustainable practices, ensuring compliance and ethical sourcing.
· Optimize lumber transactions to maximize profitability while delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders involved.
Requirements of the Lumber Trader:
· Minimum 3-5+ years of Trader or Broker experience in the Lumber Industry
· Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred
· Strong phone sales skills with a professional attitude.
· Experienced in booking and scheduling of transportation such as semis, railcars, vans, trucks, etc.
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts at all levels.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
· Ability to travel domestically upon request.
