Serco’s Maritime Engineering, Technology and Sustainment (METS) business unit employs a team of U.S. Navy Combat System experts based out of our Port Hueneme, CA location. You will be part of a 15-20-member team that works closely with our customers to deliver unparalleled support. The team has been recognized by multiple Navy customers for their outstanding support and contributions to the success of various projects.
In this role, you will:
- Provide and update procurement, tracking and delivery spreadsheets to support material management. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel will be required to complete this tasking including formulas, data sorting and filtering, and formatting.
- Be responsible for configuration management, tracking and maintaining shipboard and land-based hardware inventories, documentation, product releases, and hardware engineering changes.
- Work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new hardware products and changes, and tracking them throughout their entire life cycle.
- Provide quality assurance for shipments, verifying materials, correct part/serial numbers and quantities.
- Participate in 2-4 customer meetings per week to supply information on work accomplished and configuration management status.
- Provide daily interface with customers in meetings, via phone calls and over email to communicate requirements, status and issues.
- Prepare status reports of deliveries and presentation materials for customer meetings.
- Track serial numbers on incoming and outgoing shipments using bills of lading, invoices, or other records. Verify materials received are as planned.
- Pull configuration management information from technical drawings, with and without the assistance of engineering personnel.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- High School Diploma with 2+ years of related experience.
- US citizenship. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/transfer and maintain a Secret level security clearance (post-employment)
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of the practices, policies, procedures, and requirements involved in configuration management and logistics.
- Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.
Preferred skills:
- Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
- At least 8 years related experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for comparable work experience.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary for this role is $40,189.78 to $60,284.66 however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
