Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a boutique law firm in Irvine specializing in construction law is seeking a skilled Litigation Secretary to join the team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting a busy litigation practice.
Responsibilities:
- Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring accuracy and organization of all documents.
- Handle court filings and service in California state, federal, and appellate courts, with a strong understanding of e-filing procedures.
- Track deadlines, ensuring attorneys meet all court and client-imposed timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel on case matters.
- Prepare and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery, and correspondence.
- Schedule and arrange depositions, hearings, and mediations, and assist with trial preparation.
- Maintain attorney calendars, track case deadlines, and handle scheduling.
- Conduct basic case research as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Litigation Secretary in a law firm, with construction law experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California court rules and filing procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
