Job Title: Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury (Bilingual English/Spanish)
Location: Beverly Hills, CA 90212
Position Type: Full-Time, In-Office
Schedule: M-F 9:00a-5:30p
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 DOE, plus performance bonus opportunities
Job Summary
This is a recruiter posted position for an esteemed law firm in Beverly Hills seeking a highly experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) Paralegal specializing in personal injury litigation to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in managing complex personal injury cases, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills, legal acumen, and the ability to lead case strategies in a dynamic environment. This role will support two attorneys and collaborate closely with other staff to provide the highest quality of service for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a caseload of 50-100 cases, coordinating all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, trial preparation, and trial support.
- Manage and maintain detailed case calendars, ensuring all deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements are met.
- Draft, prepare, and assist with filing legal documents such as complaints, motions, subpoenas, pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and settlement agreements.
- Propound and respond to discovery requests.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and colleagues, providing updates on case progress and addressing inquiries professionally and empathetically.
- Liaise effectively with insurance companies, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and other relevant parties to facilitate case development and resolution.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
- Review medical records, accident reports, and other pertinent documents.
- Organize and maintain case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate from an accredited program is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal in personal injury.
- Experience managing personal injury cases through litigation phase.
- Experience with Filevine case management software is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (spoken and written) required.
- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
- Strong knowledge of California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Great work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
