About the Job
The Los Angeles office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm, seeks a paralegal for our Litigation Practice Group with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. This position will support the litigation/products liability/lemon law practice. Additional essential functions of the position are:
Academic/Professional Qualifications
:
- Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience
- Product Liability and Lemon Law experience a plus
- Trial experience, a plus
- Knowledge of state and federal rules
- Ability to prepare complaints and other pleadings
- Ability to prepare documents, forms, declarations and exhibits for attorneys
- Prepare discovery requests and responses
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proofreading, grammar and organizational skills
- Prior experience summarizing medical records, a plus
- Possess strong technical and computer capabilities
- Capable of multi-tasking with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work beyond 40 hours on occasion
