Job Description: The firm is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and will be responsible for assisting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial and appeals. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to meaningful work in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, and motions.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant case materials to assist in case strategy development.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage discovery, including document production, review, and indexing.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and prepare for trial.
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and organizing trial binders.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in California.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and California court rules.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
- Proficient in legal research, discovery management, and document review.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
