As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will play a critical role in our dynamic legal team, supporting our attorneys in a high-stakes litigation environment. This position offers the opportunity to engage in challenging work, directly contribute to case outcomes, and interact with a diverse group of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Draft, proofread, and edit a variety of legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and correspondence.
- Manage and organize case files, including scanning and copying documents, efiling, and ensuring all case documents are easily accessible to attorneys.
- Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and deadlines.
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and witnesses to coordinate depositions, meetings, and court appearances.
- Perform administrative duties, such as answering phone calls and managing attorney correspondence.
- Perform conflicts checks, prepare pre-bills for attorney review
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, legal administrative assistant, or similar role within a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of legal document formats and court filing procedures.
- Demonstrated experience with efiling and calendaring deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large amounts of data and paperwork.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- *Bachelor's Degree required*
