About the Job
Top Denver law firm has a new opening for a Litigation Legal Assistant with at least 4-5 years of experience. Full-time position supporting multiple attorneys in the firm's commercial litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of state and federal court rules/procedures and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must currently reside in the Denver metro area.
Responsibilities Include:
- E-File in State and Federal Courts.
- Docketing and calendaring deadlines.
- Correspond with clients, attorneys, the courts, and opposing counsel.
- Maintain client files, including opening news files and closing inactive files.
- Run conflicts checks for new clients and prepare reports.
- Prepare and format legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and other court submissions.
- Enter details of attorney time records into timekeeping software.
- Book travel arrangements and generate expense reports.
- Schedule meetings, depositions, and other appointments.
- Assist with trial preparation.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of law firm experience supporting multiple litigation attorneys.
- Must have commercial litigation experience.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Excellent docketing and e-filing skills.
- Knowledge of Colorado and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (CRCP/FRCP).
- Proficiency in all Microsoft 365 programs and timekeeping software.
- Excellent proofreading, organizational, and time management skills.
- Must be able to commute to the firm's office in downtown Denver 3 days per week (working from home is allowed the other 2 days).
