Salary Range: $95,000 - $145,000 annually
Summary:
Our partner organization has an established reputation as a leading law practice in the state of Illinois. We are seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, excellent research and writing skills, and a commitment to providing client-centered legal representation. This role offers a competitive salary range of $95,000 to $145,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Case Management:
- Handle a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including personal injury, employment law, medical malpractice and/or environmental law.
- Develop and implement case strategies that align with clients' goals and interests.

Legal Research and Writing:
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and strategy.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Client Representation:
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Provide clients with sound legal advice and keep them informed of case developments.

Discovery and Investigation:
- Manage the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
- Conduct depositions and gather evidence to support clients' positions.

Negotiation and Settlement:
- Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Advise clients on settlement options and negotiate favorable outcomes.

Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
- Consult with experts, witnesses, and other professionals as needed.
Qualifications:

Licensure:
- Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in litigation.
- Proven track record of handling cases independently and successfully.

Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

- Willingness to travel as necessary for case requirements.
