We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Litigation Associate to join our thriving legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation matters from inception through resolution, and will play a key role in shaping the outcomes of high-stakes legal disputes. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, gain exposure to a wide range of industries, and develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Handling a diverse caseload involving all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and participating in trials.
2. Collaborating closely with partners and other associates to develop and implement litigation strategies.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
4. Drafting clear and persuasive briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
5. Representing the firm and its clients in court and before various regulatory bodies.
6. Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and the court.
7. Staying abreast of current legal developments and trends, and applying this knowledge to benefit our clients and enhance the firm's litigation practice.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Litigation Associate role should possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar of Texas
3. A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, ideally within a law firm setting.
4. Proven experience in drafting pleadings and other legal documents.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
10. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
