POSITION SUMMARY

The Line Cook at The Gatesworth is responsible for the preparation of quality meals for the residents, visitors, and employees of The Gatesworth. The Line Cook also represents The Gatesworth to the residents, their guests, families and the community.  Each employee makes a significant contribution to our success in fulfilling our mission to safely provide the highest quality services, programs and facilities possible to enhance the quality of life for each resident, each and every day.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES

The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative, but not necessarily all-inclusive, of the position:

1. Handle and prepare food correctly, maintaining appropriate temperatures during preparation and handling.
2. Prepare meals which are palatable and appetizing in appearance, as directed by the written menus and recipes.
3. Follows policies and procedures as set by the Executive Chef, Director of Food Service in all areas of duties, as outlined in the Kitchen Policies and Procedures.
4. Ensure a clean and organized work space.
5. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
