Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR is looking for an experienced Licensed Electrical Engineer to join their Facilities Team. This ideal candidate will collaborate and integrate with the existing team to facilitate electrical design, construction, and sustaining efforts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall design, installation, and maintenance of power distribution systems and Fire/Life/Safety systems at a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
- Provide estimates and develop budgets for electrical and fire/life/safety projects.
- Manage capital improvement projects and equipment repair/maintenance projects from inception through design, installation and commissioning.
- Inspect and test new and existing installations for conformance to operational and safety standards
- Perform field studies to identify and correct power system issues. Inspect existing installations for compliance to current codes and standards.
- Perform detailed numerical and logical analysis of proposed construction options, utility proposals, risk management opportunities, and safety and environmental issues.
- Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance departments.
- Improve system/equipment reliability and safety through Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Develop cost cutting measures for both operational and maintenance expenses.
- Help operate and coordinate maintenance of equipment such as:
Industrial medium voltage power transmission
Power generation
Power system stability
Power panels
Uninterrupted power systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
Minimum of five years direct experience in facility electrical engineering, fire/life/safety systems, construction project management and electrical design engineering.
Proven record of tracking and following projects and presenting summary and detailed project timelines.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with excellent presentation skills.
Must have working knowledge of NEC and wiring codes.
Must have a working knowledge of PLCs and motor controls (ability to program PLCs is a plus).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software is a plus.
Must have good judgment, ability to work independently, self-motivated, and safety conscious.
Experience in Facility Management Systems (SCADA) is a preferred.
Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing environment is preferred.
State of Oregon electrical PE licensing is required
