Position Title: Licensed Clinician
Reports To: Clinical Director
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Position Summary:
The Licensed Clinician provides individual, group, and family therapy, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions. This role involves working with clients across various age groups and mental health conditions, ensuring a holistic and client-centered approach to care.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Assessment:
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status, strengths, and needs.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews to gather detailed information.
Treatment Planning:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating evidence-based practices.
- Set realistic and measurable goals in collaboration with clients and their families.
Therapeutic Interventions:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
- Implement interventions tailored to clients’ specific needs and treatment goals.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on clients’ progress and feedback.
Crisis Intervention:
- Respond to clients in crisis with appropriate interventions and support.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans as needed.
- Collaborate with emergency services when necessary to ensure client safety.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to facilitate treatment and support.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with developments in the field of mental health through continuing education, training, and professional development activities.
- Attend regular supervision and consultation meetings to enhance clinical skills and ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
- Current and valid licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent in the state of [Insert State].
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in mental health settings.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health conditions.
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
