Provides support for a variety of law-related activities that do not require a law degree, including managing and coordinating service of process, analyzing and organizing case file material and preparing litigation and claims status and disposition reports.
- Managing and coordinating service of process for all lawsuits and other litigation matters handled by the Legal Department. Create and maintain service of process manual.
- Assist attorneys and paralegal in litigation and claims management including compiling facts, analyzing and organizing case file materials;
- Preparing litigation and claims status and disposition reports for the company’s management, insurers, auditors and others;
- Interface with outside counsel, paralegals, expert witnesses, company officers and employees regarding management and handling of litigated matters and claims;
- General administrative support for the Legal Department;
- Typing, filing, and mail sorting;
- Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years of legal secretarial experience is required
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office proficiency Is required –Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
