Responsibilities:This new position for a Legal Assistant/Assistant Corporate Secretary will assist EagleBank’s C-Suite, as well as its Corporate Secretary and Legal Department, and play a key role in supporting the Bank’s corporate governance structure. The Legal Assistant/Assistant Corporate Secretary may perform tasks such as:
- Taking meeting minutes for the Board, Board Committees, and Management Committees—that accurately describe and effectively communicate the discussions in, and decisions made during, the meetings.
- Supporting the Corporate Secretary, including by managing logistical issues for meetings, corresponding with directors and shareholders, and retaining and organizing the Bank’s significant organizing documents.
- Assisting with legal research and drafting routine legal documents.
- Managing documents and files for the C-Suite.
- Preparing documents necessary for meetings involving directors and senior executives, such as resolutions and slide decks.
- Scheduling appointments for senior executives.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the work.
- An aptitude for administrative tasks.

- Ability to multi-task in an often fast-paced environment.

- Effective and accurate record-keeping abilities.
Preferences:
- Graduate of a college or university.
- Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or executive assistant.
- Prior experience working with senior executives of a public company.
- Prior experience in banking or lending environment.
