We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant who will focus on supporting our Litigation practice group to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for those who have a passion for law and are eager to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our corporate team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the successful management of our clients' legal matters.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
2. Managing and organizing a large volume of complex legal documents, ensuring they are accurately filed and easily retrievable.
3. Providing corporate support by conducting legal research and summarizing information for attorneys.
4. Drafting and editing legal correspondence, ensuring all communication is accurate, professional, and compliant with legal standards.
5. Maintaining attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings, conference rooms, and coordinating logistics as needed.
6. Managing client relations, acting as a key point of contact, and ensuring the highest level of service is consistently provided.
7. Handling dictation and transcribing legal documents and correspondence as required.
8. Preparing and managing expense reports, ensuring all expenses are accurately recorded and submitted on time.
9. Coordinating with other administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and coverage.
Qualifications:
1. 3+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably within a litigation practice.
2. Proficiency in legal writing and legal drafting, with the ability to produce high-quality legal documents and correspondence.
3. Strong knowledge of document management systems and procedures.
4. Excellent client relations skills, with the ability to handle client queries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
5. Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling, with the ability to manage multiple calendars simultaneously.
6. Experience with dictation and transcription, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in preparing and managing expense reports.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and data.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
11. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant legal software.
12. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate needs and take appropriate action.
