Everstaff is seeking a Legal Assistant for a reputable law firm in the Minneapolis area.
The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and the ability to support busy attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role presents a rewarding opportunity within a dynamic team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and formatting professional correspondence and documents
- Reviewing, organizing, assembling, and scanning documents for closings
- Preparing, circulating, and tracking signature pages
- Assisting with checklists for closing books
- Processing and transmitting client documents and materials
- Conducting document comparisons
- Reviewing, editing, and finalizing attorney time entries
- Processing and distributing client invoices
- Organizing and maintaining electronic files and facilitating new file openings
- Providing administrative support, including calendar management, phone answering, and travel arrangements
- Delivering exceptional customer service to clients and colleagues
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent grammar, proofreading, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and meet deadlines under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and follow through to completion
- Initiative and creative problem-solving abilities
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic, dependability, and accountability
- Experience with Box or similar cloud storage solutions
- Strong typing skills (speed and accuracy)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with FileSite electronic documentation
- Preferred: at least one year of experience as a legal administrative assistant in commercial lending within a law firm
- Must be able to use office equipment such as computers and phones
- Requires extended periods of sitting and computer-related activities
- May involve occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.
