Pax Properties is looking for a Leasing Agent for their Renaissance Apartments in Tallahassee. As our Leasing Agent, you are an integral part of the apartment's success and have direct involvement in finding, helping, and housing tenants in our beautiful, recently renovated (2019) property.
Your main focus will be to present and lease properties to prospective lessors and you'll report directly to the Property Manager. But here is a general rundown of what the job entails..
Responsibilities:
Listing units in Zillow, Facebook, and other prominent sites.
Interacting with tenants and prospective tenants.
Coordinating the signing of leases.
Ensuring that rent payments are turned in online in a timely manner (or in person).
Keeping and organizing tenant records.
Giving tours of the property.
Coordinating with maintenance on any tenant issues.
Getting vacant units listed and occupied.

Requirements:
- Experience with Entrata leasing software (preferred)
- Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday a must
- Proven work experience as Leasing Agent (at least 1 year with supporting references)
- Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices
- Proven track of successful sales record
- Up to date with property market status
- MS Office familiarity
- Excellent written & verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Persuasive with marketing and sales skills
- Customer service orientation
- Real estate license is preferred, but not required

A Leasing Agent operates between the property manager and tenants. They help ensure that all properties involved are always occupied in order to maximize revenue for the owners.
What are the duties and responsibilities of a Leasing Agent?
A Leasing Agent acts as the landlord, showing the property and explaining all included features and amenities with the goal of finding tenants. They advertise available units using various forms of media to help reach out to prospective lessees. They also prepare lease documents and screen potential tenants.
What makes a good Leasing Agent?
An ideal Leasing Agent will have considerable knowledge of the community and surrounding areas. They should know real estate terminology and Florida Fair Housing laws, and be able to communicate effectively with prospective residents.
Who does a Leasing Agent work with?
A Leasing Agent interacts with prospective tenants on a daily basis and works in tandem with the Property Manager. They also work with groundskeepers, landscapers, and property maintenance workers; ensuring that the property remains in the best condition.
