Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for facilitating new patient’s transition to Option Care Health services with the goal of delivering a consistent onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel Option Care Health makes it easy to transition care.The Lead Training Specialist, Patient Registration ensures all new members on the team are following the policies and procedures as outlined in their corporate Patient Registration training.
Job Description:
Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)
Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program).
Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing).
Provides training and mentoring for new hires.
Assist Patient Registration Leadership with special assignments as needed.
With the management team, ensure all new hires understand their job responsibilities, company policies and company programs.
Acts as a resource for Patient Registration team members in area.
Distributes all training materials as processes or procedures are updated.
Conducts audits and prescribes best training approach based on results and needs of the individual
Analyzes and evaluates training requirements to ensure proper training objectives are met.
Identifies training issues and provides retraining and coaching on areas of concern
Provides feedback to management regarding training effectiveness and suggestions for change.
Track training assignments and attendance and provide reports to management.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of healthcare patient registration/admissions or reimbursement experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience using medical patient registration or reimbursement software (such as Brightree, CPR+, Dezine, Day Tech) and/or equivalent experience.
Basic Qualifications
Excellent oral and written communication skills, proficient presentation and training skills, and problem solving skills.
Passionate about helping others learn.
Must be able to work autonomously while remaining focused on core initiatives.
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel, intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word, and advanced level skill in Microsoft Power Point.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)
Bachelor’s Degree
Previous Infusion Reimbursement, Patient Registration/Admissions experience
Knowledge of training and development, including principles of adult learning, training, organizational methodology and assessment techniques.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
