Do you have Payroll Processing experience? Are you looking to work with an independent physician group that staffs Minnesota Emergency Departments? Then look no further! THE RIGHT STAFF, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Lead Payroll Specialist for our client's office in Bloomington, MN. This role will be responsible to perform highly complex administrative support, while ensuring accurate and timely processing of the organization's bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll, taxes and associated financial information
Lead Payroll Specialist Job Description:
• Manage and guarantee timely and accurate disbursement of bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll which includes employee maintenance entries, wages and overtime calculations, voluntary and involuntary deductions, batch import files, processing, and reconciliation of payroll.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and serve as a technical resource to both administrators and employees concerning payroll accounting activities, deductions, salaries, retirement plans and other contribution accounts
• Audit W-2s, payroll YTD earnings, retirement plan contribution and payroll balance sheets
• Research, reconcile and respond to federal, state and local tax notices
• Prepare, validate, and submit compliance filings as assigned, including quarterly 941.
Lead Payroll Specialist Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, business or related - Preferred
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designations or similar - Preferred
• 4 - 6 years of progressive payroll experience
• Familiarity within ADP WFN - Preferred
Lead Payroll Specialist Pay and Benefits:
• Contract - to- Hire role
• Pay $70/annually to $80k/annually - DOE
• On-Site in Bloomington, MN
• Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
