In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in the manufacturing industry, ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art machinery. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned mechanic with a comprehensive understanding of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machinery maintenance, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical knowledge, repairing, and gearbox repair.
Responsibilities:
As a Lead Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Perform regular and preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
3. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment.
4. Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to perform installation or repair tasks.
5. Maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
6. Perform gearbox repairs, ensuring machinery operates at peak performance.
7. Collaborate with the operations team to prioritize maintenance and repair work.
8. Document and report all repairs, maintenance, and safety inspections.
9. Mentor and train less experience Maintenance Technicians on electrical and mechanical machinery
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Lead Maintenance Mechanic position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machinery maintenance, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gearbox repair.
3. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
4. Ability to interpret technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
5. Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and testing equipment.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
8. A commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
9. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
10. Physical stamina and the ability to lift or move heavy machinery parts and equipment.
11. High school diploma or equivalent. A degree from a vocational school or a certification in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
