Key Responsibilities/Skillset:
- · The Lead Electrical Engineer will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, (or comparable work experience), or Mechanical Engineering with experience in electrical systems.
- · Able to analyze, understand, & create electrical system documentation including schematics, wire harness drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- · Lead Electrical Engineer will work independently and as a part of a team, design and perform documentation of new electrical & electronic systems and any required electrical interface
- · Design improvements for existing systems based on input from customers and manufacturing. · Research technology to improve product performance, cost, and reliability
- · Interface successful with vendors for design development, troubleshooting, quoting, and documentation
- · Create & maintain electrical system documentation including schematics, wire harness drawings, wiring diagrams, and 3D CAD based wire routings
- · Read, understand, and apply internal and external standards for electrical and routing
- · The Lead Electrical Engineer will have experience in design & application of electrical systems (switches, relays, solenoids, PWM/current valve drivers, wiring, connectors, and microcontrollers).
- · Experience in design & application of systems with CAN BUS communication.
- · Familiar with computer software: Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, Solidworks, Creo, Catia or similar.
- · The Lead Electrical Engineer will have 2-5 years of electrical system design experience.
