Lead Early Childhood Teachers - The Playing Field Madison

The Playing Field is growing! We are hiring a Lead Early Childhood Teacher at our Midtown center for both infant/toddler and preschool age groups. New hires will train with us for 30 to 45 days before assuming their new role.

The Playing Field has been serving children and families from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and caring for children impacted by homelessness alongside those from more advantaged families since 2015.

We offer a supportive workplace with extensive training and coaching and very low child to teacher ratios. Our unique model provides a great opportunity for professionals who want to make a difference by supporting vulnerable children and families while growing as professionals. Our program is designed to promote strong attachments- pairing the same teacher with the same children for as long as possible. We also have a path for staff advancement and as we continue to grow, we seek teachers who want to grow with us.

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a $1000 sign on bonus after completion of the probationary period as well as annual retention bonuses of $1000 or more. Health, dental, and vision insurance as well as a Simple IRA 3% employer match are offered to staff working 30 hours or more per week. Staff also receive 20 days of paid time off annually plus 9 paid holidays.

A certificate from The Wisconsin Registry is required--if needed, we will guide candidates in how to receive a certificate in the later stages of the hiring process.
