Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance garage operations, providing leadership for all Omni Technicians.
- Conduct maintenance and repair work on Class 8 diesel vehicles, including preventive maintenance, brake repairs, and DOT inspections.
- Operate a service truck to assist company drivers by addressing breakdowns on-site.
- Collaborate with the fleet team to identify maintenance needs, ensuring all equipment complies with DOT safety standards.
- Follow and enforce all workplace safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Skilled in using diesel electronic diagnostic software.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.
- Have 8-10 years of experience maintaining Class 8 trucks.
- Must pass a DOT physical examination.
- 1-3 years of experience as a lead technician.
- 1-3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Welding skills are an advantage.
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities and the capacity to inspire and motivate a team.
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office programs.
- Capable of working in various weather conditions.
