Under the general direction of the Data Services Director, the Lead Data / AI Engineer will drive the development and implementation of innovative generative AI solutions to enhance audit efficiency and improve data analysis and risk assessment. This role is also responsible for ensuring that proposed solutions are tangible and deliver value to the business.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace mission, vision, and values.
- Lead the development and implementation of software solutions, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the healthcare/pharmacy industry, as well as 340B and PBM operations.
- Design native cloud application solutions and/or optimize existing solutions for cloud deployment.
- Drive the development and implementation of innovative generative AI solutions to enhance audit efficiency and improve data analysis and risk assessments.
- Work closely with the Chief Information Officer, product teams, and architecture teams to align development efforts with strategic business objectives, with a particular focus on healthcare solutions.
- Work closely with offshore and onshore sprint teams, promoting collaboration and innovation within legacy on-prem and AWS environments.
- Ensure that proposed solutions are tangible and deliver value to the business.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in AI to continuously improve the organization's capabilities.
Work & Education Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience with AWS developing data ingestion, data processing, generative AI, and analytical pipelines, relational databases, NoSQL, and data warehouse solutions.
- Deep understanding of the MERN framework, event driven streaming systems (e.g. Kafka, Flink), as well as SQL, Java, Talend, Glue, and AWS Development Services, with the ability to apply these technologies in healthcare contexts, especially PBMs.
- Experience working with DevOps tools such as GitLabs, Jenkins, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, etc.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Required Competencies:
- Ability to develop a unique understanding of our client’s brand, products, and services.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience designing cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in data modeling techniques and tools to design, structure, and manage databases and data architectures.
- Solid background in full-stack solutions and cloud-native application development, with a focus on healthcare and pharmacy benefit management solutions.
- Proven ability to manage IT projects within healthcare, demonstrating effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the capacity to identify and mitigate risks in project development and clearly communicate issues with development teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
