Top regional law firm has an immediate need for a Human Resources Director. The role sits in the firm’s Philadelphia, PA office and offers a hybrid schedule. This position oversees the Firm’s human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. The firm offers an excellent benefits and compensation package, as well as, a professional and collegial work environment. This position requires law firm experience.
JOB RELATED FUNCTIONS:
• Supervises and supports general HR functions including support staff recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, support staff performance management, payroll, benefits administration and compliance.
• Develops and executes a streamlined onboarding process that ensures new employees feel welcomed, understand the firm's culture, policies, and programs, and are seamlessly integrated into their roles.
• Assists with annual open enrollment process and acts as a resource to employees to ensure understanding and compliance with benefit options and eligibility requirements.
• Serves as point of contact for emergency coverage needs or work overflow issues securing and coordinating appropriate coverage/support
• Oversees non-exempt support staff including Paralegals and Legal Assistants to ensure that Firm expectations are being met.
• Serves as point of contact for support staff in various HR-related topics such as leaves or PTO.
• Coordinates with practice groups and firm management to develop staffing support and best practices.
• Completes surveys and prepares mandatory government reports, including I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, benefits reporting requirements etc.
• Communicates changes to firm policies and procedures to employees, ensuring proper compliance and understanding. Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues.
• Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and participating in all support staff performance review meetings.
• Participates in designated office and/or firm meeting(s).
• Manages departure process for departing employees and conducts exit interviews.
• Conducts performance improvement, disciplinary and/or termination meetings as needed
• Develops and implements employee engagement programs and activities; communicates engagement initiatives and programs to all employees.
