Per Sé Group is seeking a Laser Customer Support Technician for our client, North America’s premier supplier and servicer of lasers, EDMs, press brakes and fabrication and milling equipment. Founded in 1978, our client has more than 430 employees in North America and is a part of a global corporation, serving industries including aerospace, automotive, mold and die, job shops, medical and energy. In this role, you will function as machine operation instructor in a classroom/lab environment for current Mitsubishi Lasers. Travel to customer job site and troubleshoot process, throughput, accuracy, and surface quality issues on all versions of Laser products sold by MC Machinery Systems. While primarily these can be resolved by technology or program manipulation, occasionally machine repair or alignment will be necessary.

Responsibilities
- Follow-up and verify machine installations/alignments.
- Provide customer support via telephone on application and operation issues.
- Solving machine problems at customer sites in an effort to improve/enhance the performance of their Laser machinery.
- High power process training to customers both in the classroom and the field.
- Phone support to customers and service personnel as needed.
- System Software testing, and duplication; Perform proving tests on newly received machine system software and manufacture duplicates for stock.
- Technical Writing; occasionally tasked to develop training manuals, workbooks and sample projects for use in the classroom
- Prepare expenses reports
Preferred Skills and Expertise
- 3 years of set up and operation of lasers in a job shop environment
- Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes
- Ability to use basic hand-tools
- Ability to operate a computer with windows operating systems
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Valid Drivers License
- Associates or technical degree preferred
- Familiarity with circuit repair and NC programming systems such as MasterCam, AutoCAD, and ESPIRIT and/or experience in industrial machine repair a plus but not required
