Examine job orders todeterminequantities to be printed, stock specifications, colors, or special printing instructions.
Verify all vinyl and ink meet the specifications for a given job.
Collect and inspect samples during print runs toidentifyany necessary adjustments.
Load presses with vinyl and make necessary adjustments, according to vinyl size.
Clean printing units when press runs are completed.
Input production job settings into workstationqueterminals that control automated printing systems.
Adjust digital files to alter print elements, such as fonts, graphics, or color separations.
Assemble andoperateauxiliary equipment, such as cutting or laminating machines.
Technology Skills Needed:
Desktop publishing software— Adobe Systems Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
Document management software— Adobe Acrobat
Graphics or photo imaging software— Adobe Photoshop
Spreadsheet software— Microsoft Excel
Word processing software— Microsoft Word
Printing software— Caldera
Skills:
Operation Monitoring— Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to make sure a machine isoperatingproperly.
Operation and Control— Monitor and Maintain proper usage of products
Equipment Maintenance— Perform routine maintenance on equipment and process maintenance request as needed.
Abilities:
Near Vision— The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Control Precision— The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
Problem Sensitivity— The ability to detect mechanical issues and get ahead of the situation with urgency.
Focus Orientated— The ability to concentrate on a task over a period without being distracted.
Visual Color Discrimination— The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
Work Activities:
Monitor Equipment’s and Procedure— Utilize control mechanisms or direct physical activity tooperateequipment (not including computers or vehicles).
Physical Demands— Ability to use physical movements for installation and transport materials.
Quality Assurance— Review and Update materials for accuracy and compliance.
Detailed Work Activities:
Inspect prints and images to ensure job meet all standards
Quality control work orders and ensure specific instructions are met todetermineproduct specifications and materialsisaccurate.
Adjust equipment controls to regulate flow of production materials.
Able to complete preventive maintenance and troubleshoot problems
Load materials into production equipment.
Feed materials or products into or through equipment.
Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
