Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Land Use Attorney to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land use regulations, zoning laws, and real estate development. You will work closely with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders to navigate complex legal issues and facilitate successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on land use and zoning matters, including site development, entitlements, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft and review legal documents, including zoning applications, development agreements, and environmental assessments.
- Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, and litigation related to land use and zoning disputes.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and case law.
- Collaborate with clients, urban planners, and other professionals to develop effective strategies for project approval.
- Participate in public meetings and community outreach efforts to address stakeholder concerns.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in DE.
- 3+ years of experience in land use, zoning, or real estate law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes is a plus.
