Labor & Employment Associate Attorney / Junior to Mid-Level

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join their Employment Practice Group in New York.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar Admission in New York.
- NJ, PA, or CT Bar admissions are a plus.
- 2–5 years of substantive experience in employment-related litigation and transactional employment work.
- Experience handling wage and hour class actions, discrimination cases, and contract disputes in federal and state court and administrative agencies like the Department of Labor.
- Transactional experience, including drafting employment-related documents (e.g., employment and severance agreements, workplace policies, employee handbooks) and conducting federal and state employment law research.
- Familiarity with traditional labor law, wage and hour audits, and conducting employment training is desirable.
- Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple assignments, and a high sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in employment-related litigation matters, including discrimination claims, wage and hour class actions, and administrative agency proceedings.
- Draft and review employment and severance agreements, workplace policies, employee handbooks, and related documents.
- Advise clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws, as well as conduct wage and hour audits.
- Assist clients with employment training programs and traditional labor law matters.
- Provide strategic and practical advice on complex employment law issues.
