Job Description:
Overview
This role requires individuals to comprehend and perform standardized
testing procedures in a construction material laboratory environment.
Technicians will learn a multitude of procedures and be able to test a
large variety of different products including repair mortars, grouts,
epoxies, joint sealants, deck membranes, coatings, concrete, and various
masonry materials.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately perform test procedures
- Mix multi-component materials and cast test specimens
- Fill out worksheets neatly
- Perform calculations when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Work as an individual as well as in a team environment
Skills:
- Physical strength to lift materials greater than 50 pounds
- Reading comprehension

Specific Preferred Candidate Skills
- Have worked with, have experience with, knowledge of the following
materials:
- Elastomeric Joint Sealants (caulk)
- Exterior Coatings
- Epoxies
- Waterproofing traffic deck membranes
- Be able to mix and cast detailed specimens such as:
