Litigation Legal Assistant - El Segundo, CA
We are actively recruiting an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of five years in civil litigation and trial practice to become an integral part of a dynamic team. The firm provides support in a friendly, team-oriented environment that allows for immediate responsibility and growth potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys across all aspects of case management.
- Collaborate with attorneys in the preparation, proofreading, revision, and finalization of legal documents.
- Conduct E-Filing in state, federal, and appellate courts.
- Manage confidential information, files, records, legal documents, and reports.
- Perform intake and conflicts checks, process time entries, and handle client billing.
- Maintain attorneys' calendars, coordinate travel, schedule appointments, meetings, and conferences.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation law; California-specific experience is preferred.
- Positive attitude, proactive mindset, flexibility, and a strong team player.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Professional.
- Expertise in electronic document management systems, with a deep understanding of local rules and procedures for filing in California and Federal courts, as well as e-filing and calendaring.
- Strong organizational, communication, and client service skills.
- Excellent writing and proofreading abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Capability to prioritize tasks based on urgency, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Experience with iManage and Compulaw is a plus.
