Position Overview:
The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for the overall operations of the kitchen including production, ordering, inventory, sanitation, safety, scheduling, menu/recipe development, training and supervision of staff. The Kitchen Supervisor must ensure the highest quality service to our patients, visitors, employees and guests while adhering to all regulatory requirements put forth by local, state and federal agencies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Staff supervision, including scheduling and training. Supervision of residents working in the kitchen
- Vendor management, including periodic review to ensure highest quality and value
- Recipe and menu development
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of all temperature and sanitation logs
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including End of Month, End of Year documentation and recordkeeping
- Effective communication and demonstration of team-based management
- Adherence to all local, state and federal safety and sanitation codes
- Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities, not noted above.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience - Minimum of 1 year of supervisor-level experience in food service, preferably in an healthcare setting, and 1 year of cooking experience
- Licensure - Not required
- Current Servsafe or ANSI Food Safety Manager certified, or must obtain within 6 months of employment
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Education - 2-year degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business Administration or related field.
- RD, CDM, CFPP preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling and reaching. May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects. A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.

Pay Range Disclosure:
- $21.23 to $26.04 per hour
