We are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Line Cook. Responsibilities include food expediting, ensure high quality food and product delivery, staffing decisions, and effective communication. We are seeking a leadership style that provides an environment where productivity, accountability and motivation are top priorities. Flexibility in scheduling (working days, nights, and weekends) required.
What you'll be doing:
- Create an atmosphere that supports Deschutes Brewery's Mission, Core Values, and Strategic Vision
- Ensure exceptional plating and high quality food
- Responsible for controlling labor costs and waste management
- Efficient ticket times through staff management and positive coaching
- Maintains an exceptionally clean and organized station
- Break and station rotation as needed
- Oversee and prep all stations for AM service
- Follow proper closing duties for the line and prep kitchen
- Adherence to established OSHA safety standards and enforce sanitation regulations
- Leadership, mentoring, and training of fellow co-owners
- Display positive communications with all co-owners
- Maintain positive and professional communications with external customers
What you'll need to be successful:
- Previous line cook experience
- Proven ability working well under pressure in a high-volume kitchen
- Ability to adapt quickly to situational changes
- Knowledge of plating expectations, portion control, and value
- Ability to work all line stations and fill in where needed
- Alignment with the company and chefs' visions through effective communication
- The ability to lead, model teamwork, collaboration, and open communication
- A positive and solution oriented attitude
- Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
- Leadership ability that supports a team environment
- Flexible schedule (working days, nights, and weekends) required
