The Key Account Manager will drive demand and adoption for our line of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Polyisocyanurate (PIR) and Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) insulation products in non-construction market applications, including but not limited to packaging, laminated panels, and transportation. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this essential sales leader will be accountable for managing business through existing customers, while also establishing needed relationships and uncovering key insights for growing market penetration. This individual must be astute in developing targeted relationships built on trust; uncovering opportunities for delivering value-based solutions; engaging effectively to capture new business. Key strategic deliverables include developing collaborative relationships with colleagues across the business, leading by influence for enrollment of internal & external resources, and creating an executable territory plan.
Salary range is $120,000 - $130,000 + bonus opportunities.
Key Duties Include
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and execute a territory plan for achieving business strategy and goals.
- Preserve base business, while identifying profitable growth opportunities in new applications and with new customers.
- Build a pipeline of opportunities to create a sales forecast and achieve business growth goals.
- Serve as a trusted professional for providing technical support, customer service and product training.
- Provide exceptional support for customers by following up on opportunities and resolving issues in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies.
- Represent company at trade association meetings and industry associations to establish appropriate market presence for promoting Kingspan product solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales colleagues, Technical, Marketing, and other key resource capabilities across business for success.
- Perform all work in a safe manner, while also promoting and fostering a safe work environment.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university plus at least 4 years of outside business-to-business (B2B) technical sales experience with insulation products; OR high school diploma or GED plus 6-8 years of relevant industry experience in business-to-business (B2B) technical sales.
Must have:
- Ability to work remote with high degree of engagement and accountability.
- Ability to understand and communicate engineered product concepts.
- Knowledge and experience with insulation materials used in packaging, laminated panels and transportation applications would be plus.
- Ability to gain an in-depth understanding of product features and benefits.
- Proficiency in uncovering customer needs and articulating solutions.
- Strong selling techniques: ability to build partnerships, and close sales.
- Strong prospecting & forecasting skills.
- Effective collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience and proficiency with business computer applications (Microsoft Office).
Travel: Travel will vary but will be approximately 50-60% between meeting with customers, attending industry events, visiting plants and attending intercompany meetings.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write complex reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and written in English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to forecast accurately.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in non-standardized situations.
Certificate/License: Valid driver’s license with record clean enough to be acceptable to our insurance carrier.
