Key Account Manager - Freight Forwarding
Location: Rancho Dominguez, CA/Los Angeles, CA
Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate on experience
Candidates with less relevant experience should expect to be offered a salary towards the lower end of this range.
Office based 5 days a week

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight forwarding, exceptional client relationship management skills, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain operations. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing our most valuable client relationships, ensuring their needs are met with the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
Understand clients' business needs and logistics challenges and provide tailored solutions.
Account Growth and Development:
Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within existing accounts.
Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to implement account strategies and achieve growth targets.
Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss performance and explore new opportunities.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the smooth execution of all logistics activities related to key accounts.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
Monitor account performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Market and Industry Insight:
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
Provide clients with insights and recommendations to optimize their supply chain operations.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, including KPIs, service levels, and financial metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by proactively addressing concerns and resolving issues.
Implement client feedback to continuously improve service offerings.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management within the freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industry.
Proven track record of managing and growing key accounts in a B2B environment.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Proficient in MS Office and logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS, CRM).
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Valid driver s license and reliable transportation.
