Job description - Key Account Manager
We are is a leading, full-service integrator of control and automation systems with offices throughout the Midwest serving clients nationwide. We design and integrate complete control system solutions to increase efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing systems. With over two decades of experience developing PLC and HMI systems, our skilled electrical engineers implement control systems that improve efficiency, safety, and productivity. From the initial design to ongoing support, we integrate manufacturing equipment and individual lines into one highly efficient, connected system.
Day to Day Responsibilities?
- Leverage vendors/distributors to sell into key manufacturing accounts.
- Work closely with engineering/project managers to influence and guide the design of small to large industrial automation systems that deliver solutions that solve customer needs.
- Work closely with Relationship Development Manager and proprietary tools to aid in prospecting for new customers and opportunities.
- Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers. Check competitor activity and develop new methods of attaining distributors and new accounts.
- Make outbound calls, emails, and site visits to connect with new and existing customers.
- Become the lead industrial interface for our channel partners in the assigned territory/marketplace.
- Seek own personal development opportunities.
- Attend conferences and expo's related to the industrial manufacturing and automation.
- Exceed sales and profitability metrics to assist in achieving Quantum Solution's, Inc. ambitions for growth in assigned market.
Qualifications:
Who are we looking for? - This job might be for you if:
- 3-5 years relevant sales experience preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business or Communications is preferred.
- Experience in electrical distribution, industrial automation or mechanical engineering industries preferred. Experience selling through distribution and to trade professionals.
- Experience with any of the following industrial product technologies: Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Sensors, HMI, SCADA, or controls, is a plus.
- Experience with consultative sales methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influence target audience.
Education:
A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Technical degree preferred.
Experience:
3+ years relevant sales experience within industrial manufacturing.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 50%
Physical Skill and Effort:
Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level.
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal office conditions. Moderate travel primarily by car to customer sites. Client sites may have location specific safety requirements and hazards associated with the industry.

Salary: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
