Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil engineering scopes. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost structures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Conduct site visits to gather information on project conditions and constraints.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor and update cost estimates as project conditions change.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and schedules.
• Participate in post-bid reviews and project handover meetings.
  
  

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil estimating or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
• Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools, InEight Estimate (HardDollar) preferred
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel as the position requires.
