We are looking for a Jr. Staff Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll and journal entries
- Responsible for maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash management activities
- Reconcile general ledgers and research, track and resolve accounts issues
- Preparation of account schedules and assist with financial statements preparation
- Assist the AR and AP functions by processing invoices and payments, as needed
- Preparation of weekly & monthly ad-hoc financial reports
- Assist with special projects, as needed to support the finance team
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years related experience bookkeeping/accounting
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures
- Excellent Excel Skills
- Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and communications skills
