Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serves as a secondary point of contact for installation and repair projects, assisting in assembling, coordinating, scheduling, and directing technical staff involved in the project.
- Supports coordination efforts with owners’ representatives and other technical trades on the project.
- Aids in managing projects by assisting in requisitioning, assembling, and staging necessary materials, equipment, and tools required to complete the project.
- Assists in navigating between job locations inside multiple industrial facilities, potentially large in size, throughout each workday.
- Provides assistance with accessing construction sites at multiple locations by walking through uneven terrain with extensive obstacles.
- Supports the process of taking measurements of construction materials and assisting in completing closeup visual quality control inspections at both ground level and at heights via ladders and/or scissors lifts.
- Assists with loading/unloading and installation of piping, fittings, valves, etc. on project sites.
- Assists in regularly moving heavy construction-related materials and equipment such as compressors, gang boxes, and other tools on the job site.
- Supports reaching overhead to twist, pull, and lift sprinkler-related materials as part of the quality control process.
- Collaborates with Sales, Design, and Area Manager to establish project objectives and assists in discussing matters related to the project with supervisors and technicians.
- Works with field labor management to assist in creating manpower schedules to ensure timely staffing of projects.
- Provides assistance in providing documentation for Company records, customer records, the authority having jurisdiction, and other entities as required.
- Communicates discrepancies, job schedules, and other important issues to the Company and the owners’ representatives under supervision.
- Participates in pre-submittal, project review, job cost meetings, and maintains records of such meetings.
- Supports administrative duties as necessary, including completing timesheets, time and material reports, billings, and other reports related to the performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Travels to projects using company-provided vehicle.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures and supports the practice of core values.
Qualifications:
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- 1+ years of experience in fire protection systems, plus
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push and pull regularly.
- Ability to maintain strict punctuality on projects and attendance.
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong Technical Skills with Excel / Office products
