Key Responsibilities of the Junior Project Accounting Analyst

• Project Accounting & Budget Management:
• Manage project budgets, ledgers, and accounts.
• Process and code invoices to align with project budgets.
• Prepare journal entries for land acquisitions, development costs, and accruals.
• Track and analyze project costs related to land acquisition, development, and capital expenditures.
• Perform reconciliations and variance analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare schedules and reports to analyze and communicate financial activities, including lot and land development costs.
• Ensure accurate cost reporting, including capitalization and revenue recognition in compliance with GAAP.
• Compile financial reports and project financial statements for stakeholders, lenders, and investors.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Collaborate with development and finance teams to create and update project budgets.
• Monitor budget vs. actuals and provide real-time accounting of development spending.
• Deliver forecasts to support financial planning.
• Audit & Compliance:
• Prepare project-level financial information for internal and external audits.
• Assist with audit requests and maintain organized records.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
• Loan & Financing Management:
• Track and manage project loans, including interest calculations and payment schedules.
• Assist with financing documentation and maintain accurate records of costs and distributions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the Junior Project Accounting Analyst

• Finance, Accounting or Economics degree
• Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting or real estate finance experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
