About the Job
We are seeking Junior Developers to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) project.
Location of work is primarily remote. Candidates must be near IRS Federal Buildings in Farmers Branch, TX, Washington DC or Lanham, MD to attend meetings when needed.
Position is contingent on resume acceptance by Prime contractor. Selected candidates may be required to complete the UiPath Advanced Developer certification and credential within 30 days of starting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, debug, implement, and document basic software programs.
- Assist in the research and analysis of existing systems and program requirements.
- Assist in resolving routine production support problems.
- Conduct routine quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
- Provide support to the RPA Developers in the Research, test, build, and coordination of the conversion and/or integration of new products (robotics) based on client requirements.
- Translate the solutions provided by business analysts into detailed documentation, develop efficient code which will support Section 508 compliance guidelines, execute Unit Testing, integrate with external partners, and provide holistic support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
- Maintain source code/components and modify and/or upgrade code as necessary.
- Work within a large team environment in short sprints.
- Interact effectively with the team of developers as well as customers.
- Provide support to the RPA Developers in the evaluation and recommendation of robotics automation and intelligent automation software packages, application integration and testing tools.
PROJECT QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- At least one (1) to three (3) years of related experience required.
- Experience and knowledge in utilizing and developing in a variety of coding languages and tools such as, but not limited to python, .Net, Java, C#, and JavaScript.
- Experience with unit testing.
- Experience using modern development methodology including Agile and continuous integration.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Some knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA) and the related technical subject matter including but not limited to UiPath for effective solution deployment of automation use cases.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AS PER CONTRACT/CLIENT:
- Candidates must meet requirements to obtain and maintain an IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus).
- Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
