About the Job
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets and various other accounts.
• Participate in month-end close process. Prepare monthly journal entries with proper supporting documentation. Analyze and investigate variances
• Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports and provide commentary for outstanding/aged items.
• Process Accounts Payable invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation.
• Review applicable invoices for 3-way match to Purchase Orders. Research, investigate and resolve all pricing, unit, and freight discrepancies in coordination with Warehouse and Pricing Departments.
• Ensure all AP documentation is attached to invoices and all back-up is attached to Journal Entries. Maintain records electronically and in accordance with company record retention policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding of transactions/invoices and resolve accounting issues.
• Other accounting and taxation duties as assigned.
• Assist the CFO and Controller with special projects.
Requirements:
• Understanding of accounting concepts
• Minimum 3 years of similar accounting experience
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to re-prioritize as necessary
• Self-starter with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficient computer and Excel skills
• Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
